Marking its 20th anniversary in 2022, the KAWS CHUM Vinyl Figure returns in a bold re-release celebrating one of KAWS' earliest and most distinctive creations. Inspired by the iconic Michelin Man, CHUM offers a playful, sculptural aesthetic that embodies KAWS' unique artistic language.
First launched from KAWS’ Brooklyn apartment two decades ago, CHUM has been a cornerstone of the artist’s portfolio, appearing in early collaborations such as Supreme skate decks in 2001 and a rare low-top shoe with DC Shoes in 2002. More recently, CHUM took center stage as the poster figure for KAWS' acclaimed WHAT PARTY exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum.
